Bike Carmel season kickoff a success!

Bike Carmel Launches 2024 Season with Record-Breaking Turnout at Family Fun Ride

Carmel, IN — May 13, 2024

Bike Carmel kicked off its highly anticipated 2024 season in style with the Family Fun Ride event held at Carmel Elementary School this past Saturday. With over 60 enthusiastic riders in attendance, the event proved to be a resounding success, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.

Attendees were greeted by the beloved Bike Carmel mascot, Spokes, who delighted children and adults alike with high fives and photo opportunities. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as families gathered to enjoy a day filled with camaraderie, fun, and, of course, cycling.

Highlights of the event included a lively caricature artist capturing the spirit of the riders, while Chief Moriarty of the Carmel Fire Department added to the excitement by bringing out one of the fire engines for children to explore and play on. The bike rodeo, featuring a thrilling array of challenging obstacles, proved to be a crowd favorite, eliciting cheers and applause from participants.

“We had a great time, especially the kids!!!!! What a great event. The littler kids are walking around with the bells today letting everyone know they’re coming!” said Paula Lohss, a delighted participant at the event.

The day concluded with a leisurely 1.5-mile ride through the charming neighborhood behind the school, providing a perfect ending to a memorable day of cycling adventures.
