Tucson Training Camp 2026

Matt Tanner on August 1, 2025

Dates: February 22-27, 2026 (5 nights)
Location: Woodland Water Tower Ranch, Tucson, Arizona

Get ready for an unforgettable week of epic riding, expert coaching, and unparalleled camaraderie in the stunning Sonoran Desert! The Rollfast Cycling Club is heading back to Tucson for our annual training camp, and we’re opening up registration to our club members, friends, and trusted cycling partners.

This isn’t just a training camp; it’s an opportunity to forge stronger connections, push your limits, and create lasting memories with fellow passionate cyclists.

The Rollfast Experience: Beyond the Bike

At Rollfast, we believe the experience off the bike is just as important as the miles on it. Our camps are renowned for their supportive atmosphere and shared experiences:

  • Communal Dinners: We’ll be cooking delicious dinners right at the ranch, often by the pool or on the grills, creating a relaxed and social atmosphere. While we have the option to dine out, our focus will be on shared meals at our amazing private venue.
  • Bonfire Stories & Celebrations: Wind down each day around the bonfire, sharing stories, celebrating personal bests (whether it’s a new PR on a climb or just the accomplishment of conquering a challenging route!), and reliving the day’s adventures. This is where the true bonds are formed and legendary tales are born.
  • Inclusive Environment: Our camps are about building each other up. Expect plenty of laughter, encouragement, and mutual support. We foster an environment where everyone feels valued and inspired.

Master Your Craft: Expert Coaching & Team Dynamics

Prepare to elevate your riding with guidance from two experienced CINCH Coaches: Matt Breeden and Matt Tanner. We’ll be on hand throughout the camp to provide personalized coaching advice and overall ride direction.

  • Tailored Daily Goals: We custom-design each day’s route and set specific goals for every rider, ensuring challenges are appropriate for all skill levels.
  • Race Scenarios & Teamwork: Get ready for dynamic “race scenarios” that emphasize teamwork over individual competition. We’ll implement strategies like staggered starts, giving slower groups a head start for faster riders to chase, fostering a truly collaborative riding experience.
  • “No-Drop” with a Challenge: While we’ll all finish our rides together back at the ranch, expect to be challenged on the climbs. Getting “dropped” on a tough ascent is part of the growth process, but the group will always regroup.
  • Dedicated Support: Some days will include support vehicle assistance. We’ll also rotate Ride Captains daily, putting them in charge of their “team.” If a mechanical issue arises, the group stops to help get everyone rolling again – we’re a team!
  • Support Driver Option: If you’re having an off day, you can still be the hero and an integral part of the team by driving a support vehicle.

World-Class Riding in Tucson

Tucson offers some of the best winter cycling in the U.S., and our camp leverages its iconic routes:

  • Epic Climbs: Conquer legendary routes like Mt. Lemmon, Pistol Hill, and Colossal Caves. Be prepared for significant elevation gain; flat riding is minimal here! Daily rides will range from 40 to 60 miles with 3,500 to 7,500 feet of climbing.
  • Scenic Routes: Explore the breathtaking landscapes of Saguaro National Park, riding through unique cactus forests.
  • Road Conditions: Expect excellent road surfaces on iconic climbs like Mt. Lemmon, and generally rough conditions around town.
  • Perfect Weather: Based on previous camps, anticipate excellent conditions with sunny days and cool nights, warming up into the 70s by ride time.
  • Convenience: Our ranch is just a couple of miles from the base of Mt. Lemmon. Plus, the famous LeBuzz cycling coffee shop is right across the street, along with a shopping plaza and grocery store. Numerous bike shops are also conveniently located nearby.

Your Home Away From Home: Woodland Water Tower Ranch

Our exclusive base for the camp is the incredible 12-acre Woodland Water Tower Ranch, offering a unique blend of comfort and desert charm:

  • Sleeping Arrangements: We can comfortably accommodate 17 individuals with their own bed for the week. Please note that while we have ample sleeping capacity, some rooms may have multiple beds, we are offering a “roommate discount” for campers willing to share a room.
  • Resort-Style Amenities: Enjoy a custom three-level pool area (unheated), outdoor grills, fire pits, comfortable sitting areas, and walking paths amidst beautiful Mesquite Trees.
  • Unique Ranch Experience: Get to know our friendly resident horses and cows on the property – they’re part of the charm of the ranch!
  • Fun & Relaxation: The ranch boasts a game room with pool, indoor mini basketball, darts, and foosball. Relax, birdwatch, and soak in the stunning southwest desert wildlife views.
